What does this mean?

The agriculture standard is used in more than 70 countries around the globe. The Rainforest Alliance’s program focuses on coffee, cocoa, tea, bananas, and many other important commodity sectors facing urgent environmental and social challenges.

The Farm Requirements of the Sustainable Agriculture Standard are designed to help farmers protect the landscapes where they live and work, while offering an enhanced framework to improve their livelihoods and advance the human rights of rural people.

What does this mean?

Sri Lanka Climate Fund (Pvt) Ltd. certifies that Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC has offset its Product Carbon Footprint of 31,776 tCO2e for the year 2021/22 from Certified Emission Reductions (SCERs) of CDM registered project, 155 MW Gas based combined cycle power project at Hazira.

Lifecycle assessment boundary of this product includes raw material acquisition, finished good manufacturing and distribution up to the destination ports.
