OmniGrip Hybrid HF is a road safety surface that reduces the risk of road crashes by improving the skid and slip resistance of the road. With high friction road surfaces being a proven road safety treatment that is used internationally, OmniGrip Direct worked with the Australian Road Research Board and grant funding from Sustainability Victoria to develop a blended road aggregate comprising 1-3mm crushed Australian post-consumer recycled-glass and other materials to develop a compliant High Friction Surface Treatment. The new surface, OmniGrip Hybrid HF, is compliant to Victoria's Standard Specification 430 for High Friction Surface Treatment. It can be made from glass collected from household recycling schemes, such as the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme and similar schemes in other States and Territories.
