How to dispose of Bed Bath & Beyond Packaging

Here at BB&B we are working hard to reducing our waste footprint, by improving our packaging. This guide provides instructions on how to recycle or re-use our packaging to help customers make more sustainable choices.

  • Donate

    Furniture

At BB&B we make sure all our furniture is high quality and built to last for decades. However, if you are in the mood to update your furniture make sure you donate your items to ensure that they will be kept out our landfills.
  • Donate

    Hangers

Some of our products come with hangers. If you don't think you'll use them, we recommend donating them to your local second hand store or thrift shop.
  • Home compostable

    Compostable Courier bags

Our courier bags can go in any compost bin. Please peel/cut off the courier sticker first.
  • Return to Collection Point

    Polystyrene (Plastic 6)

We have partnered with Expol to help collect our polystyrene and convert it into green beans, which are a sustainable alternative to regular polystyrene beans. This material will only be used in our packaging when absolutely necessary as it is light weight and effective against impact. Polystyrene can be dropped off at any participating polystyrene collection site near you.
  • Soft Plastics Recycle

    Soft Plastics (Plastic 4)

This is any clean plastic packaging that can be crunched up into a ball. We send our soft plastics to our friends at Futurepost and you can do the same by dropping off your soft plastics at participating locations across the country.
  • General Recycle

    Cardboard and Paper

Can be recycled at home in your curb-side recycling bin. We recycle our paper, cardboard and pallet wrap directly with OJI solutions to ensure that these materials are being re-used in a circular manner.
