The institution is designing, implementing and promoting practices to build a sustainable, healthy and vibrant campus culture. uOttawa is devoted to spearheading efforts through sustainable programs aiming to conserve the environment and create a nurturing community. The university works actively as a steward of the land by conserving and augmenting the natural environment of the campus.

By signing the charter, the University agreed to measure and reduce the carbon intensity of its investments as well as incorporate ESG considerations.
