Helping to build a more sustainable future
Snooze is thrilled to be the first foundation member in the homewares category of Sustainable Choice. Our journey for a more sustainable planet is just beginning; we're working hard with social enterprises, organisations, manufacturers, and suppliers to improve the rate of landfill and develop more sustainable products and packaging. Snooze is using responsibly sourced fabrics, like Tencel™ and partnering with Plastic Bank® to produce our Suprelle® Blue quilt. Our quilt is filled with 100% Suprelle® Blue fibre, which is made from ocean-bound bottles collected and recycled with the aim of reducing plastic pollution worldwide. The cardboard packaging for our bedding range is 100% recyclable and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® for the responsible management of forest resources. Our Vintage Washed and Organic Stone Washed Cotton linen conform to the OEKO-Tex® Textile Std 100, as does our 375TC Cotton, 400TC Bamboo Cotton and 375TC Tencel™ sheets sets. This ensures every thread of the product has been tested for harmful substances and is therefore harmless for human health. Plus, our Organic Stone Washed Cotton sheet set, and Organic Stone Washed Cotton quilt cover set is GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified. GOTS, is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. And we also encourage consumers to prolong the life of linen and quilts by donating better quality items to charities and voluntary shops and good quality items to animal shelters. We acknowledge our journey is only beginning and there will be many obstacles along the way. Nevertheless, we are proud to start our journey with bedding and linen in a quest to make the world a better place.
