Published a sustainability roadmap

Ingham’s has published a Sustainability Leadership Roadmap that sets out how it wants to improve across environmental, social, and governance issues. Its news page says all of its New Zealand-operated sites were moved to Lodestone’s renewable electricity offer, with solar-backed energy used to match electricity demand. The company also says it is looking at Scope 3 emissions, which are indirect emissions from its wider supply chain, and at ways to cut emissions from feed and farming.

The roadmap says Ingham’s wants all packaging to be reusable, recyclable, or compostable by 2025, with 50% average recycled content in packaging by the same year. Recyclable means it can be processed into new material, while compostable means it can break down into compost under the right conditions.
