Our Commitment towards building a sustainable future
Buddies®, a Sleep Corp® brand, is proud to be one of the foundation members of Sustainability Tracker. Providing a range of Australian made bed pads, chair pads and re-usable underwear to primarily the healthcare sector our vision is “supporting people to deal with life’s challenges by unlocking the power of sleep”. Something that we are committed to doing both ethically and with the environment in mind. Acknowledging that sustainability is a journey that requires a clear focus and ongoing actions, our sustainability council are looking at changes we can make now and into the future across all areas of the business. From how we do things day-to-day, to the raw materials used, product production, packaging and distribution, we are actively pursuing sustainability. Proudly Australian owned Sleep Corp® which produces products under the Buddies® brand as well as Protect-A-Bed®, Moonshadow®, Freshotel®, Opossum® and Airley™ moved to new state-of-the-art facilities in late 2021. This giving us the opportunity to begin implementing a number of new processes as part of our Industry 4.0 journey with a focus on reducing our environmental footprint. We are continuing to build on this today. You can read more about some of these in our profile actions and commitments. As a member of APCO (the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation) we have also committed to move all our packaging from PEVA bags to 100% recyclable packaging by 2025, with the first changes already beginning to take place. If you would like to talk to one of our team, please reach out on 1300 857 123, during business hours.
