2021
PEFC certification
PEFC is the worlds largest renewable forests scheme. Every BabyLove nappy is made from renewable plantations where 2-3 saplings are planted after every tree is removed. After 8 years we thin the forest and remove the crooked/deformed trees, 15 years the same process is completed, 25-30 years we remove the final trees and commence the process again. 1 tree produces around 400 kg of pulp – each nappy uses around 20 grams of pulp = 20,000 nappies per tree and in 2020 we supplied around 368 million pieces of nappies. The tree species is normally Southern Yellow Pines from USA.
