Aurecon Sustainability Commitments

2025

Net zero by 2025

Our business is one source of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, so we are taking responsibility and implementing appropriate measures to reduce the impact we have on the world. We have made a commitment to become net zero carbon in our operations by 2025. We have set our goals around the areas of our business where we can make the biggest difference. We aim to actively reduce emissions from owned or controlled sources (Scope1), the generation of purchased energy (Scope 2), and all other indirect emissions from Aurecon activities we do not own or control, such as activities associated with business travel, procurement, waste and water, to zero by 2025. The move to decarbonise our business and transition our services comes in anticipation of a 100 percent net zero emissions future. We will achieve our targets through risk-based decisions, balancing investment in emissions reduction measures against offsets. Over time we anticipate the need for offsets will reduce.
