What are the Sustainability Tracker Impact Awards?

The Awards are designed to recognize those who are making a tangible impact by championing transparency and responsible sustainability in their business.

It’s not just for bragging rights or gaining a shiny new paperweight for your desk - this program is designed to acknowledge the change-makers among us and highlight transparent communication and storytelling.

By participating, you showcase your organisation as an impactful sustainability leader and change-maker. Plus, it's your chance to gain valuable feedback from industry experts, recognize your team's efforts, and connect with a vibrant community of like-minded individuals.

Free for all Sustainability Tracker members

How it works.

Our independent panel of expert judges brings vast practical experience and integrity to the table. They'll evaluate entries based on your Sustainability Tracker profile and a 400-word submission. Scores range from 1 to 10, with detailed feedback provided. It's simple!

For all awards, remember that only Sustainability Tracker members with an active profile can apply. Your profile is a key element of the evaluation process, so ensure it is fully populated to improve your chances of winning.

Transparency Award

This award recognises members who display exemplary standards of transparency in their social, environmental, and governance policies, research, development, products and outcomes.

To apply, ensure that your Sustainability Tracker profile includes:


  • Evidence: Uploaded to the Evidence Library covering all claims made on your Tracker profile.
  • Precision: All disclosures include relevant and supplemental information to help readers understand the context.
  • Comparability: Present evidence in a way that supports comparisons across similar products or services.
  • Clarity: Use clear, plain language in all evidence or supporting copywriting so that public disclosures are immediately understood.
  • Accessibility: Attach evidence to all relevant actions listed on your profile to ensure ease of reference.

Transformation Award

This award assesses the depth and breadth of your company’s sustainability transformation, considering strategic vision, practical implementation, and positive outcomes for both the company and the broader community.

To apply, ensure that your Sustainability Tracker profile includes:


  • Demonstrated and quantified positive impacts on environmental and social performance, supported by evidence.
  • Commitments, actions, or evidence of your ability to adapt to changing circumstances and demonstrate resilience.
  • Receipt of external recognition, awards, or certifications for your sustainability efforts.
  • Outlined future commitments or in-progress actions that demonstrate a significant shift in your overall strategy towards sustainability.
  • Highlights of the successful achievement of previously set commitments or the implementation of innovative sustainable practices, technologies, or initiatives.

Circularity Award

This award recognizes proactive efforts to educate consumers about sustainable choices and practices, encouraging responsible consumption and supporting products throughout the supply chain.

  • Examples in the product lifecycle module that demonstrate responsible design, production, and consumption of materials and resources.
  • Actions or commitments that promote sustainable business models that keep materials in use.
  • Evidence demonstrating how circular solutions can be scaled across businesses, sectors, or whole systems.
  • Examples of proactive efforts to educate consumers about sustainable choices and the environmental and social impact of products.
  • Examples of easily accessible ways for consumers to engage in more circular practices.

Emerging Champion Award

This award celebrates the exemplary sustainable growth of small businesses that have achieved notable success and demonstrated a commitment to sustainability, innovation, and positive societal impact.

  • Innovative products, services, or solutions that address market needs and stay at the forefront of industry trends.
  • Evidence of significant positive contributions to community development, employee well-being, diversity and inclusion, and environmental sustainability.


The criteria for the Emerging Champion Award also includes the following, which can be included in this submission form.

  • You show high levels of customer satisfaction through positive reviews, testimonials, and customer retention rates.
  • You demonstrate sustainable growth in revenue, market share, profile engagement, or customer base over the past few years.

Most Influential Award

This award assesses the holistic sustainability efforts of companies, recognizing those that produce sustainable products and actively influence positive change within the industry and among consumers.

  • Relevant certifications and recognitions for sustainable practices from reputable organisations.
  • Examples of collaboration with stakeholders, including suppliers, retailers, and NGOs, to collectively drive sustainability initiatives.
  • Quantifiable actions, commitments, and evidence of your positive impact on sustainable practices.
  • A demonstraion of proactive efforts to educate consumers about sustainable choices and the environmental and social impact of products.
  • A commitment to, or evidence of accessibility and inclusivity in the provision of products or services, making sustainable options available to a broad and diverse range of customers.

High Achiever Award

This award celebrates organisations that exemplify exceptional dedication, strategic acumen, and effective execution in the pursuit of sustainability objectives, both in the short and long term.

  • Evidence of considering social and environmental implications in decision-making processes.
  • Examples of resilience and adaptability in the face of unexpected challenges.
  • Clear and measurable impact metrics demonstrating your contributions to sustainability goals.
  • A clear roadmap with steps, milestones, and actions to attain set objectives, including achieved outcomes or delays.
  • Examples of collaboration with external stakeholders to maximize impact and ensure equitable distribution of sustainability benefits.

People's Choice Award

This award celebrates businesses that have gone above and beyond in creating positive and lasting change in the sustainability landscape. All entrants automatically go in the running for the People's Choice Award.

After judging concludes, we'll notify you and invite you to a special event in November where you will meet the expert judges as well as other participants! Here, we'll announce category winners and hold a ceremony to present your award - your new showpiece for the office!
