Adding a Sustainability Mission Statement
Provide an overarching summary of your organisation’s sustainability purpose. Enhance this section by adding a YouTube or Vimeo link to a sustainability-related piece of your video content.
Tell us what actions your organisation has previously and is currently undertaking to promote sustainability. Consider your actions in terms of environmental, economic, and social responsibility.
When adding an action, you can align it with any relevant United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Unsure about SDGs? Click here to learn more. You can also link documents from your evidence library to substantiate any claims you make (more on this shortly!).
Share your organisation’s milestones, quantifiable goals, and commitments towards a more sustainable future. Feel free to include achievements you’ve already reached!
A best practice is to outline what will be done (e.g. reduce greenhouse gas emissions), how (describe the steps you will take), by how much (e.g. 20%), and by when (e.g. the end of 2030)
Following ACCC greenwashing guidelines, you must substantiate any environmental claims you make. The best way to ensure that any sustainability claims you make are truthful and substantiated is to upload relevant sustainability documents.
These may include third-party certification, accreditation, reports, formal documentation, etc. Once you have uploaded your evidence, you can then link your documents to any relevant sustainability actions, product lifecycle claims, or labels on your profile.
Select and add any relevant memberships, accreditations, and suppliers to your profile to connect with other organisations in the Sustainability Tracker Ecosystem. This section helps foster collaboration by showcasing your suppliers, partners, and sustainability certifications and qualifications that meet sustainability standards.
Want to add a partnership, accreditation, or supplier but it’s missing from the list of available options? Scroll down the list of available options, and at the bottom click on the request button to let us know what you need. We’ll be notified, and action the update ASAP!
Adding relevant labels to your brand profile helps consumers understand the certifications and meanings associated with your products, packaging, or websites. Labels typically include certifications, codes of ethics, memberships, initiatives, or awards. These labels will display prominently on your profile for consumers using the Sustainability Tracker app. Showcase your labels here and substantiate your claims by attaching items from your evidence library.
Want to add a label but can’t see it on the list? Scroll down the list of available options, and you’ll see the text, ‘Can’t see your label here? Request Label’. Click the ‘Request Label‘ button, and let us know what you need. We’ll get notified, and action the update ASAP.
Share external online sustainability news from other websites about your organisation, such as press releases, articles, or features that showcase your sustainability achievements. If your brand is smaller and has a limited web presence, you can alternatively link your in-house sustainability blog or article content here. Or, once you’ve published articles on our article hub, you can provide links to those articles here.

Product Listings
Help your customers choose the most sustainable products in your range by sharing each stage of your product’s life cycle through text, images, or videos in your product listings. Ensure your product sustainability claims are backed up by directly linking relevant documents from your evidence library.
Additionally, include stockist information, search tags for SEO and profile visibility, and select the relevant product category. Don’t forget to provide product recycling and disposal information to complete the picture of your product’s environmental impact – more on this next!

Product Recycling & Disposal
Once you’ve listed a product, we encourage you to specify recycling or disposal information for your products and packaging so that customers can responsibly and correctly dispose of them. You can then attach your recycling and disposal instructions to any relevant product listings on your profile.
